RYT 200
After a 20 years in regional leadership, Amy recognized burnout and health challenges surfacing, including multiple autoimmune diagnoses from chronic stress. After a family night of snow sledding, an accident resulted in a spinal fracture in 2020, and Amy began improving the effectiveness of physical therapy through organic movement, she’d later learn were yoga poses. Recognizing those movements created better alignment and preventative strength, she turned to yoga for rehabilitation and healing. This transformation allowed her to manage her symptoms naturally, leading to elimination of all prescription medications. She is passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga with others, helping participants release old habits and embrace personal transformation on and off the mat.
When she’s not on the mat, Amy enjoys gardening & yard work, exploring nature and traveling (huge fan of the PNW and the beloved Southwest) with her family (husband, Vann; and three daughters, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a bearded dragon). With renewed energy and empathy for those in demanding careers, she blends mindful practices into her leadership coaching and consulting.
